Powerful photos capture the student protests in Mexico barely anyone is talking about

While the world has focused its attention on the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, there’s another student movement gaining steam on the other side of the world.

The unfolding protests gripping Mexico began in the small town of Iguala, in the southwest region of Guerrero state, where the disappearance of 43 student teachers on the night of Sept. 26 has sparked outrage amid allegations of collaboration between local police and organized crime.

Is Columbia from RHPS kinda Halloween-y?

I tend to like dressing up for Halloween as something Halloween related - something dead, or typically Halloween-y (a witch or whatever), or something from a Halloween film. My original plan this year was Sally from TNBC, but I’ve realised I have a family wedding the next day, and the body paint shit doesn’t come off easily, so Sally is out (since my mum’d murder me if I turned up with a blue tinge to me). Anything with fake blood is also out, since from experience, that shit stays on for like 2 days.

In my struggle to come up with a costume that still related to Halloween but doesn’t involve paint/blood, I was thinking Columbia? But it’s not really Halloweeny? Or is it? Heeeeeelp meeee.

And if it isn’t - any alternative costume suggestions?

Out Of The Woods - Taylor Swift Cover by Laura Zocca

Slightly obsessed with this song. Definitely obsessed with Taylor. 8 years and counting. Taylor is queen.
TAYLOR SWIFT YOUR EXISTENCE MAKES ME HAPPY KJFLDSK. Thanks for watching if you do guys, reblogs would also be awesome :’) Love you!

NOW I WANT AN OUT OF THE WOODS ACOUSTIC MIX

Oh my God, that was breathtaking.
What a gorgeous, angelic version of this song. I seriously may need to go off by myself and sway back and forth in a field of lavender while listening to that on repeat.
But first I gotta go email it to everyone I know.
My chill is lost, never to be returned to me.

Taylor Swift: Good at tumblr.

Friends is not a perfect show but those moments when the women stood up for themselves were truly formative. For quite a long time in my young personal life I didn’t see many women standing up for themselves when men gave them shit. I only read about them, or saw them occasionally on television, and I am grateful to those fictional women for giving me a spine, a vocabulary with which to stand up for myself, and plenty of gumption.
